I was surfing stock accounts last night and literally squealed aloud. I FOUND ARMAND! He's supposed to be around 17 with auburn hair and "as pretty as a girl." I had to paint his hair because it was nearly black... talk about hard work with a mouse. Eh, I'm pretty proud of the way his hair turned out.

You did the hair yourself?! How? It looks awesome! Love his brooding pose, and there's something cold in his stare. Armand always came off as a somewhat cold character to me. As cruel as he is beautiful. I finished an Armand piece a couple of weeks ago, but can't post it here.

Errr... I lightened it about ten times, then painted it in using five shades of red, then smudged it like mad. I tinkered with his eyes a bit to make them look colder, too. Thanks for the awesome feedback!

It's weird to see Armand in heavy boots. On the other hand, from those 2 or 3 chapters I read I can judge he was very interested in culture of time he was living it.
It's very clean, acurate and bright. I love the rich colors. Vampires are rarely portrayed in such bright shades. Great illustration for a book.

@Lena: Vampires are usually portrayed all in black with very muted colors. Why? They like colors like the rest of us!
@Katy: If you zoom in to about 500%, it maks painting easier because it's like connecting dots. That makes things faster.
